These steam rings come in a variety of sizes to match the cooking or steaming pot with the steamer.
As a general rule, the size of the steam ring should match with the size of the pot (the outer width or rim). When trying to match a steamer with a steam ring, the size of the steam ring should be larger than the steamer.
