Tawashi Natural Scrubber
Tawashi Natural Scrubber
Scrub brushes (Tawashi) have been used for ages in Japan. Made from the bark of the Windmill Palm Tree, or Shuro, Tawashi is flexible and sometimes soft in texture. These brushes are a great all-around scrubber, but they work especially well for cleaning wood products such as cutting boards.
When cleaning wood products with the Tawashi, it is recommended to not use soap, which may damage the wood and the brush.
To maintain a clean brush, it is recommended to occasionally soak the brush in a light bleach/water solution.
Tawashi are also excellent tools for cleaning cast iron grills, but it’s recommended to have one brush for each task.
The brush includes a convenient, metal hanging loop to ensure it stays dry.
With proper care, the Tawashi Natural Scrubber will last for years.
