Okai Mafu

Founded in 1863 in Naramachi, Nara Prefecture, Okai Mafu is a fifth-generation, family owned business. In the Edo period, this area was predominately involved with Nara Sarashi production. This company is one of just a few that produces using traditional technology from the Edo period.
