Seiro Steamer Kit 21cm

In Japanese cuisine, mushimono refers to steamed dishes, such as chawanmushi, a savory egg custard. A seiro is the traditional steamer used to prepare mushimono. Often made from hinoki or bamboo, the typical cooking method uses small bowls or cups, which are placed in the steamer to cook. This steamer can accommodate 4 smaller cups.

This kit has all you need to begin steaming meals with a unique addition to your kitchen. Featuring a handmade seiro steamer, which includes the steamer body, lid, bamboo base, and a wooden divider. The seiro pot, made by Nakamura Douki, is a handmade aluminum stew pot, constructed with an inner ledge that accommodates the steamer. With everyday usability, this kit has a wide range of uses, from easy reheating, to more dedicated steamed meals. This is a perfect size for smaller kitchens.
